ASKME, or Acquiring and
Self-regulating Knowledge in a Multimedia Environment, is a research-based
effort developed at the University of Texas at Austin by researchers,
classroom teachers, and technology specialists. The teams of developers
began with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and designed
the courses to help students prepare for the Texas Assessment of Knowledge
and Skills (TAKS).
